A TV series adaptation of James Patterson’s novels about the complex and brilliant detective Alex Cross
Hodge is the third actor to play Cross, following in the footsteps of Morgan Freeman, who first played him on screen in 1997’s Kiss the Girls and again in the 2001 film sequel Along Came a Spider; and Tyler Perry is the lead in 2012’s Alex Cross, which bombed at the box office and prompted Lionsgate to scrap a planned sequel, Double Cross.
I found the show to be somehow more palatable, with equally good writing and characters
I’ve read a few of the Alex Cross books and found them too creepy for my taste, even though I thought they were well-written, with good stories and characters.
But the picture is so dark
I have to turn off all the lights in my room and turn the TV to bright mode (I have an LG OLED).
It’s like the people responsible for the picture quality had lunch
The cinematography is great in one respect, but the brightness of the picture is so far removed from any other show that it just throws me off.
