Alana Higman, a die-hard Kansas City Chiefs fan, and her family are competing to win the team’s Fan of the Year award, in a process judged by director of fan engagement Derrick.
The locations that served as the Higman Family Store and Norma and Nick’s BBQ Restaurant are also real-life family-owned businesses
The film was shot on location at the historic Independence Square in Independence, Missouri, which actually looks that way all year round.
I thought it was a cute movie
The Square even has holiday lighting like the one in the movie.
It’s definitely a quaint movie with the over-the-top family always trying to get in the way
It’s sports-themed and I loved the little Easter eggs (Donna Kelce, Andy Reid, and older retired players) that appeared throughout the film.
I highly recommend watching this movie, especially if you’re a woman who likes sports and romance
This movie was a nice departure from the usual “high-level female executive comes to a small town to fix something and falls in love with a small-town guy.” Overall though, it was your typical character movie and still a nice Christmas themed movie, even if it wasn’t as big of a theme as football.
