The number of strings on the various instruments is incorrect
Chronology
Four talented alien musicians are abducted by a record producer who disguises them as humans and reprograms them to forget their true identities and play deadpan corporate pop as The Crescendolls. At one point, a football match is shown on a monitor; the teams are Japan and France. The two collaborators, Daft Punk and Leiji Matsumoto, are French and Japanese respectively. The score, 2 for France and 1 for Japan, shows how many were from each country.

A huge one, in fact
I play the Discovery album pretty regularly all day long. So when my friend first told me about this movie, I was excited. I borrowed it right away, and the magic began. It tells a fairly simple and predictable story.
But when you watch it, you won’t care
The music and art are expressive and captivating. They alone carry the movie, as there is no dialogue to be found anywhere. You’ll never miss a line, I promise you. Instead, you’ll be dancing, then on the edge of your seat.
Tip: watch the ‘extras’
You’ll laugh, you might cry. But you’ll be left stunned. Many of the hilarious scenes are just random people doing silly things. While it may seem like nothing more than a long music video, it’s actually an epic musical journey.
