It took a while to figure out where and how everything was going to play out
Chronology
It follows three very different families who are competing to own the same 1920s Spanish-style mansion that they believe will solve all their problems. The exterior photos of the house are similar to the same house Mitchell and Cam lived in in Modern Family.
I understand why some people would watch one episode and turn it off
And it took a while to find the balance between the dark and gritty humor and what ended up being pretty straightforward. It was hard at first to connect with the characters, who were generally helpless or mean-spirited…
But I think the persistence pays off here
There’s so much to see, so much to drink, so little time… Some might find the ending a bit too silly, but there’s nothing wrong with a little sentimentality this time of year.
I really enjoyed it
